Technology

Inside the unit is a powerful computer processor made to drive content. We use only components of the highest quality and speed. Our systems contain Intel Pentium processors as well as the latest video cards required to run our content in HD.

The unit also contains a vandal resistant telephone handset with a digital auto-dialer accessible from the advertiser's ad.

So, with all this equipment and our copyrighted software, the user has access to hundreds of services. He or she may touch the "Main Menu" button and choose from one of sixteen categories such as: hotels, attractions, transportation, restaurants, shopping and much more.

When an ad is touched, a popup with more information is displayed. They then have the option to press the "Map" button, the "Video" button, the "Call" button or the "Close" button. The "Video" button will instantly display a video that the client has supplied (or one that we have contracted out for the client). The "Map" button will display a detailed map showing where you are and where the service is located. It will also show a line joining the two so you have a perfectly clear picture of how to get there.

Ongoing ads and videos are displayed on the right of the screen. This is informative and entertaining. The weather is displayed below the ads and videos. 77% of travellers state that the weather is very important to them. Our weather shows: the current temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, visibility, dew point, winds and even a seven day forecast.

Our kiosks are also equipped to send text messages which advertise the client's address, driving directions, phone number and/or a coupon. This information is sent free to the traveller by the traveller following the directions displayed on the ad. This eliminates paper as the traveller now has the information permanently or until they delete it. It truly is a green feature.
